In 2020, when Turmoil was first published, it foreshadowed the 2021 Colonial pipeline ransomware attack, and now Venezuela. What is going to happen next? Get your copy of turmOIL to find out!
Why do gas pump prices go up immediately when the price per barrel of oil goes up? Gasoline in transit from the refinery to the consumer was extracted as oil at the well head and sold at a different price per barrel than today’s spot rate for oil. Gasoline already in the storage tanks at gas stations or distribution centers was extracted as oil at the well head even earlier. If the well head was directly connected to the gas station or distribution center, one could understand this price transference as there would be no way to discern today’s product from yesterday’s extraction, but that is not the case.
